 2010 Scholarship Requirements

 Candidate must comply with the following:

 

  1. Be studying or accepted to study in one of the following fields: Engineering, Science, Computer Science, or Aviation Technology (e.g. A& P)
  2. Be a resident of Ventura County.
  3. Possess a grade point average of 3.0/4.0 or equivalent.
  4. Provide two (2) letters of recommendation.
  5. Be enrolled or accepted in an accredited institution of higher learning. This includes community colleges, colleges, and universities.
  6. Be willing to be interviewed by the EAA Chapter 723 scholarship committee at its offices in Camarillo.

 Scholarship will be given directly to the student. The recipient shall be responsible for any tax due to the scholarship award.

 The members of Experimental Aircraft Association, Chapter 723 would like to encourage the recipients of our scholarships to always remember the assistance they received and endeavor to give back to the community.

This scholarship may be tax-free to the recipient if: 

 

1.) He or she is a candidate for a degree at an eligible educational institution; and 

2.) Uses the scholarship funds to pay for qualified educational expenses such as tuition and fees, course-related books, supplies and equipment. Room and board, travel and non-required equipment are generally not considered qualified educational expenses.
